As we talk to teams, many of the same questions keep coming up; therefore, I have put together a FAQ list.  I have emailed these to all registered contacts and will UPDATE it as necessary on the website -  www.texastournamentbaseball.com

  1. Are you keeping the original birth certificate?

NO.  The coach is required to bring the original, raised-seal birth certificate and a COPY.  We will match the original to the copy and hand back to the coach the original certificate.
  1. On Skills and Drills, how will “Around the Horn” be performed?

It will be based on the fastest time. The sequence will be pitcher to catcher; catcher to third, third to second; second to short; short to first; first to home.  The time will begin and end with the catcher.
  1. Home Run Derby – will it be a machine or a live arm pitching?

There will be two participants per team. The coach will pitch to his own batter.  The batter will get 7 pitches. The batter(s) who have the most homeruns will advance to next round.  "Rounds" will continue until we have a winner.
  1. Accuracy Throw – how will it work?  A container will be placed at home plate.

The throw will come from mid-left/center and mid right/center field and the throw that is the closest to the container wins.  There will be two participants per team.
  1. Fastest Player – Runner will go from home plate through all bases and back to home.

Runner with fastest time wins.  Two participants per team or as many as it takes to get everyone involved.

No, but we would suggest having more than one (1). With that said, sitting space will be somewhat limited.
